Plus, for a limited time, those living the gluten free lifestyle may find gluten free pepperoni and cheese pizzas on-site!

It is mostly a drive-through experience, but you have the opportunity to stop half way for some on foot fun like a walk-through light up forrest, carnival rides (included in ticket price!), a holiday show, and holiday snacks and beverages. Plus, a potty break for your littles!  Skip the lines and snag a fast pass.

We had the opportunity to be hosted by the Parks Department of Grand Prairie a few weekends ago for a sneak preview of this years event. Read more about our fun filled evening at Prairie Lights here.

Six Flags Over Texas (Arlington)

Holiday in the Park

Open on select days now - Dec 31, 2019.

Enjoy the same old thrill rides here but with a holiday twist. Special holiday season attractions like The Frosty Snowhill (downhill sledding), Story Time with Mrs. Clause, and The Lone Star Lights (animated light presentation to music) are all available to appeal to every member of your family from the young to old.

We just visited this event and had a wonderful time listening to holiday favorite tunes as the park was transformed evoking a feeling of Christmas even with this hot weather we have been having lately!

The little one without the wheat allergy loved roasting s'mores throughout the many fire pits locates throughout the park. Unfortunately, this is not for those with wheat allergies as the kits are prepackaged with graham crackers already touching the chocolate and marshmallows!.

AT&T Performing Arts Center (Dallas)

A Christmas Carol (Wyly Theatre)

Dallas Theatre Center's rendition of the holiday classic about Scrooge and his journey through the past, present and future. Filled with songs and holiday cheer, don't miss this performance this winter that teaches your family the value of respect, joy and connections with others.

The Nutcracker (Winspear Opera House)

Ok let's be honest. This is pretty much a must do for the season. Filled with magic, love, fear, and culture, The Nutcracker is one of the most famous ballets of all time. Make sure to get your tickets so your children may step inside the magical Christmas dream brought to you by the eloquent performers of the Texas Ballet Theater.

Gaylord Texan Resort (Grapevine)

This is the place to go for ALL DAY Christmas themed fun. In fact, when we visited there was so much going on I couldn't really process where to go first. In our opinion, we recommend you just shell out the cash for the VIP tickets because you will want to skip the gigantic crowds and head straight in for the holiday spectacular. Our favorites: ICE (this year it is A Charlie Brown Christmas themed), Snow tubing, & Build-A-Bear Workshop. They have make shift bars set up throughout (and trust us you will need them because the crowds are pretty thick!) and for all those gluten free kids you are welcome to bring in your own gluten free snacks.

Wanna extend your fun? Book an overnight stay at the Gaylord Texan.

Or, perhaps you would like a hotel experience a little more off the beaten track when visiting the Dallas area?

We recommend an overnight stay with the Four Seasons Las Colinas.
